BIRMINGHAM, AL – Birmingham law firm Massey, Stotser & Nichols is pleased to welcome Michael Brymer as a partner to the firm. The firm serves clients throughout the State of Alabama and their local and surrounding areas including Jefferson County, Blount County, Shelby County, St. Clair County, and Tuscaloosa County.
Michael resides in Hoover, Birmingham, with his wife Kristin, their son Jack, and their dog Lucy. Kristin is the Director of International Admissions at the University of Alabama – Birmingham. The Brymer family also belongs to the congregation of the Bluff Park United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he officiates high school and NCAA football. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with his family, with the beach being among their favorite places to relax. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Auburn University, Alabama in 2005 and was an Associate Justice in the Honor Court. He also graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the Thomas G. Jones School of Law – Faulkner University, in Montgomery, Alabama, in 2009 and has also completed a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Brymer was admitted to the Alabama Bar Association in 2009.
Brymer was admitted to the U.S. District Court – Middle District and the U.S. Court of Appeals – 11th Circuit in 2015. He graduated as a member of the Leadership Montgomery Legacy Class 33. The class service project was multifaceted and included a fundraiser for improvements and adding displays to the Air Force Enlisted Heritage Hall, situated at the Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base Annex. Aside from his qualifications, he is a member of several professional associations and memberships. Michael is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association, and the Alabama Association of Municipal Attorneys.
Before joining the Birmingham law firm of Massey, Stotser & Nichols, Brymer worked as a staff attorney for the City of Montgomery, Alabama, and as a Deputy District Attorney for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. At Massey, Stotser & Nichols, Brymer primarily practices within the fields of corporate and municipal law. His prior experience as a litigator and city attorney has given him ample experience in representing clients from all situations and backgrounds.

The law firm of Massey, Stotser & Nichols was founded in 1977. Timothy A. Massey founded the firm in 1977, and with Garrick L. Stotser, formed Massey & Stotser in the year 1990. In 1999, the firm merged its practice with Nichols Law Office, PC. This merger brought in Randall W. Nichols, forming the law firm of Massey, Stotser & Nichols. In the last four decades, the firm has represented thousands of individual and corporate clients, dealing with various legal issues. Since the firm’s founding, the dedicated team of lawyers has dedicated themselves to providing the Birmingham Metro area a high standard of legal representation.
