Nichols was born and raised in Virginia and attended law school there (University of Virginia).  He went to college in North Carolina (Duke University), where his love of college basketball grew into a full-fledged obsession. He moved to Alabama in 1986 and, since then, has added college football fanatic to his resume.  He practices all aspects of family law litigation and mediates family law disputes as well.  He is the proud father of two children and the grateful husband of their mother.
