Birmingham, AL — Massey, Stotser & Nichols proudly announces that three members of its legal team were selected as 2016 Top Lawyers in Birmingham by B-Metro, the Magazine of Metro Birmingham Living. The great honor goes to attorneys Anne Lamkin Durward, Kristin Sullivan and Stephanie Weems. The lawyers were chosen based on their ability to guide their clients to successful outcomes. All honorees were featured in the March 2016 publication of B-Metro Magazine. This is the second year in a row that Anne Lamkin Durward has received recognition on the top lawyers list.

The 2016 Top Attorneys were selected by B-Metro Magazine based on ratings compiled by Avvo, an online marketplace for legal services, which includes ratings for 97% of lawyers throughout the United States. Ratings through the online database are calculated by an algorithm, which ensures that they are unbiased. Additional evaluations of attorneys were made locally through a survey, which was conducted by B-Metro.
Honored Attorney Durward practices law in the following categories: divorce and family law, adoption law, estate planning law, civil litigation, probate, paternity actions, grandparent visitation, guardianships and conservatorships. Since 1995, she has been a member of the Alabama State Bar Association. She also has been included in the Best Lawyers in America listing for family law and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. As an active member of numerous bar organizations, she has helped establish the Birmingham Bar Foundation Fellows Program.
Top lawyer Sullivan practices law in the following areas: tax, wills, estate and trust planning, probate, guardianships/conservatorships, elder law, business planning and organization and veteran’s benefits. She received her bar admissions in Alabama in 2006 and has admissions in US Tax Court.
